Revo riders return to Buckfastleigh

A pleasant Sunday morning in late July saw the running of another 25 mile Time Trial at Buckfastleigh, Devon.  The event, run by Mid-Devon Cycling Club, was well attended with 64 competitors lining up to start the out-and-back course on the A38 Dual Carriageway.

The race was won by Mid Devon CC’s Conrad Moss in a time of 49:37, yielding an average speed in excess of 30 mph and just shy of his own course record.  Taking second and third spots were MDCC espoir rider Matt Langworthy (50:15) and Gary Chambers (50:30) from Farewham Wheelers.  Revo Racing were well represented in the top half of the result […] Read more

Success at the National TTT Championships

A glorious sunny day in Devon saw the running of the 2016 National Team Time Trial Championships, hosted by Mid-Devon Cycling Club on behalf of Cycling Time Trials (CTT).  The course was a challenging 32-miles of hilly Devon countryside.

Several top teams from around the country descended on Hatherleigh in an attempt to lay claim to the national title.  Local teams were also well represented this year, with Devon and Cornwall clubs rubbing shoulders with the best in the business.

Pedal Heaven took the men’s title – Lloyd Chapman, Joseph Fry and Max Steadman with a time of 1:07.40.

Fast times in Buckfastleigh on the S4/10

Thursday evening saw another running of the S4/10 Time Trial in Buckfastleigh, run by Mid Devon Cycling Club.

Warm weather, light winds and low pressure hinted that this could be a very fast night for some.  Ninety riders on the start sheet included a great showing of eight riders from Revo Racing.

By the end of the evening, a new course record had been set with a stunning time of 19:12 by NOPINZ rider Dean Robson, with Conrad Moss (MDCC) also breaking the old course record and finishing in second place with an impressive 19:28.

Another bank holiday weekend with questionable weather conditions saw many Revo team members in action in various events across the country.  Some great times and finishing positions, a few personal bests and lots of learning experiences to be had along the way!

Another cold and breezy springtime day in Cornwall, but a solid inaugural 50 mile time trial performance from Liam now sets him in good stead for the forthcoming National TT in June.  Julian continues to go from strength to strength, with an exemplary ride, smashing his personal best 50 mile TT time.

Winning performance by Revo riders in Somerset

Winning performance by Revo riders in Somerset

Matt Slater claimed his first victory for his new club, Revo Racing, with a time of 20:39 in the Northover VC U30/10 Time Trial on Saturday evening.

Conrad Moss (Mid-Devon CC) was second, finishing 10 seconds down, with Matt Burden (Severn RC) completing the podium with a time of 20:54.

Revo’s Liam Bard narrowly missed out on taking Matt Burden’s podium spot, but put in a great performance nevertheless in the chilly evening air to bring home a superb 4th place.

Julian Harper completed the Revo trio and managed to deliver a course best time of 22:25, to finish 15th in the strong line up.
