Revo Racing’s brand new 25 mile time trial

Revo Racing’s brand new 25 mile time trial

One for your diaries…

Revo Racing are currently in the process of introducing a brand new and exciting 25-mile time trial to the South West for 2018.

This course will use a new HQ and roads that have never been raced on before. Riders will follow a smooth rolling road along the ridge between Tiverton and Exmoor National Park, before descending down into the Exe Valley. There are no significant climbs and the roads are quiet single carriageways, with some really interesting technical sections.

The overall amount of climbing will be similar to the popular S4/25 at Buckfastleigh, however the amount of descending will be several hundred feet more. This is thanks in part to a 2 mile long “gift hill” in the middle of the course. For a sporting course, we expect it to be rapid!

This course will be listed as the S8/25S and will be run on the morning of Sunday 8th April 2018.

For the observant amongst you, you may have noticed that the CTT website and handbook currently list the old S8/24S event on this date. This will switch over to the new S8/25S just as soon as the paperwork is filed, risk assessments are completed and the District Committee rubber stamps the new course (expected to be around mid-February).

Anyone entering the S8/24S in advance of this date will have their entry automatically switched over to the new 25-mile course once it is published.
